About

Daniel lives in a world filled with magic. It touches plants, animals, and everything in between, creating fantastical beings big and small. And unfortunately, some of these are monsters. The most dangerous are the Chaotics, fiends that are nothing but violent instinc and aggression. They've prowled the edges of civilization since time immemorial, but where there stalk monsters, there rise warriors to fight them.

In this world those warriors are the Sentinels. They're an ancient organization, roughly equivalent to knights of old, if knights rode out to fight actual dragons. Daniel has been raised in this brotherhood since he was small, living with his adopted parents in a Sentinel village called East Hollow. Shortly before his teenhood he and his family moved to a metropolis named Birchpointe as his parents had been contracted there for someone else.

It was while in the city that things developed for Daniel. The biggest change was a literal one, after a sudden attack by a werewolf. This had upended things pretty severely for him at the time, though after a year or so living with it, it's all more or less under control by now. However over time a slower change, an emotional one, began growing in him. Through his new life and new location, through friends he'd made in the city, through seeing himself in a new light, Daniel began to wonder if being a Sentinel was truly right for him. After all, he had dedicated so much of himself to it, enough so that he began to wonder if he existed outside of it.

first impressions Daniel is tall, and can seem intimidating in the cloak he always wears . His eyes are constantly watching, taking in the information around him, which can make him seem a little distracted in a conversation. He does conversate easily, though he might come across a bit blunt or biting.

demeanor This is someone who is patient to a T. Long hours have been spent scouting and keeping watch, and as such Daniel is someone who fully believes good things come to those who wait. He can often be found staying in one place for long stretches at a time; observing the area around him, reading or other smaller hobbies, or even taking a snooze if he can get away with it. He does have a temper but it's slow to rile, usually with plenty of signs he's getting pissed off before any explosions. Daniel also enjoys a good laugh, often the instigator when among those he's comfortable with.

As part of his training with the Sentinels, Daniel is well versed in their hand-to-hand combat, a technique called "Cheqmar" in their language. It's a broader form of kickboxing, with some additional fist usage mixed in.

Additionally, every Sentinel is trained to use a given weapon type, and Daniel's is daggers. His gauntlets hide hidden ones that carry enchantments specifically to combat Chaotics, and he tends to carry a camping knife on his person at all times. This is mostly for survival pragmatism, but he'll use it as a weapon in a pinch.

werewolf

This is about what you might expect. A hulking anthropomorphic wolf, covered all over in black wavy fur similar to Daniel's normal human hair. He has the ability to talk when in this form, and has heightened strength, speed, and durability. He also thankfully keeps his mind when in this shape, though he didn't at first; occasionally if angry enough, he'll still revert back to a more monstrous demeanor. This transformation is at will, though he gets locked in it over every full moon.

Daniel also has access to a "dire wolf" form, a lesser version of the above. It is what it sounds like, a quadrupedal wolf about half the size again of a timber wolf, also jet black and wavy-furred. He has no ability to talk when like this, and no additional powers other than enhanced speed over a normal wolf. Daniel to use this to goof around as an extra large big friendly dog.
